The right bike for every occasion

The road special is needed, the preparation requires it and then ... the "leg" that gives you the road! But if I go to the track you need the specific fixed gear, maybe in carbon, do you want to rent the gates they give you ?!

Yes, oh well but I already have the Gravel and with that I do everything ... but if I go for a Cyclocross race it would be better to buy a CX too so I'm getting ready for the next Cross Country season. Cross Country... rigid, front or full? Let's do all three so, depending on the route, I always have the best performing bike! And if I want to go on a long ride with friends? A Trail bike with 120 travel, ready in the garage, is a must, that is super light and super pedalable but that also makes me have fun going downhill... yes but, should I get a 27,5" or 29"? If I do more technical descents, the 27,5 "is better, if I want more speed and smoothness, the 29 "is better.

But then if in the summer I like to ride at high altitudes and then go down steep and battered descents it is the case to have more excursion ... a real Allmountain in a self-respecting garage cannot be missing, even if for Enduro races I have to take one more " race ”with a lot of travel and components suitable for the stresses of special tests with“ two-handed ”gas. In any case, if I am not trained enough, I cannot fail to evaluate the purchase of an E-bike ... just one? No, you need at least two, a City to move around the city and a full suspension Plus for long excursions in the mountains. To go around the bike parks I could take a Freeride or a Dh… I can't go there with the enduro, which then when I land short on the jumps I don't have enough excursion!

Do I need the double plate only if I do Dh races or is it also convenient for the bike park? Well, a nice one to be sure downhill from 27,5” I'll buy it, you never know. In winter, unfortunately, the bike parks are almost all closed, I train on the pump track and I need a 26" Dirt bike, but if I make big jumps or four crosses I need full suspension. What if I go to train on the bmx track instead? Two lessons and off you go to buy a brand new 20 ”BMX!

Or will I take the 24 ”Cruiser so I can do some master races with it this season? When in doubt we take both, they cost so little. To strengthen the muscles and refine technique and balance you can also do the healthy Trial ... but which one should I take? The 20 ", the 24" or the 26 "? And when I go to the mountains and I'm not tired enough from the ski day, I can take advantage of it for a ride on the snow with a fat wheeled Fat. With all these bikes, however, if one day I wanted to be a bike messenger I would not have a suitable one ... and then, a stylish Fixed in the living room suits us just fine! Here, so I can feel satisfied ... my garage is complete and I am finally a complete cyclist! Oh I forgot, last week I saw the video of Fabio Wibmer doing freeride (complete with megadrop and backflip) on a city "gate" that is missing only the bread basket ... I sold everything and signed up for the “Le còe mole” bowling club.

Passionate about mountains and two wheels since I was a child, I have practiced, competed and sometimes won in all cycling disciplines. As an FCI technical coach I pass on my experience and dedication for fat wheels to those who want to learn or improve in driving. Twenty years ago I started my first tests/reviews of sports materials, today I test with scrupulous attention all the mountain bikes and components that the editorial staff assigns to me.
