Nino Schurter he is a champion in this too: author of a crash in the third lap, he did not break down and then continued to beat like a blacksmith. Thomas Pidcock, on the other hand, did not quite digest a curve in the path that had a "bastard" root right at the point of the rope.
Tom Pidcock proved to be a champion but while in the European championship I had raced as a true wait-and-see (strada docet), here perhaps he paid a slight over-laps in the first part of the race where he was forced to come back from the sixth row and then give a revving of his as soon as he returned. From then on, Pidcock no longer had the right leg to make a difference / be with the first. And here, later, the errors on that technical part of the route also arrived (lack of clarity).
POST BY THOMAS PIDOCK
The romance of the world championships ❤️💔, just one day for everything to go smoothly. This hurts more than normal, I worked hard on it but this week it all seemed out of place. I was as positive as I could and finished 4th, completely empty, which I can be proud of. As always, thank you for everyone's support yesterday: it means a lot to me 🙏 Heartfelt congratulations to @nschurter. Nino and the Rainbow MTB jersey almost synonymous now 🤴
