There are many Cross Country Teams this year that want to make themselves noticed in the World Cup: let's get to know them.

Alpecin-Deceuninck remains mostly the same for 2023 with great bikers such as Sam Gaze, Puck Pieterse (U23 cross rider who asked for an exemption to race with the Elites) and Mathieu Van Der Poel, who however stated that his focus will be on the road to the World Cup.

Caloi Henrique Avancini Racing

After leaving the Cannondale team last year, Henrique Avancini moved to his own development team supported by one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in Latin America, Caloi bikes. the 100% Brazilian squad will see Henrique racing alongside Ulan Galinski, Sabrina Oliveira and Cainã Oliveira.

Cannondale Factory Racing

After the departure of Henrique Avancini, the Cannondale Factory team retained Simon Andreassen, Alan Hatherly and Mona Mitterwallner, with new entry Charlie Aldridge. Charlie is an up-and-coming young rider who won the Junior XC world title at Mont-Sainte-Anne in 2019, finished third in the U23 World Cup at Lenzerheide last year. He asked permission to race in the Elite despite his age of U23.

The Canyon CLLCTV team remains among the strongest teams in the women's field with Line Burquier and Loana Lecomte, without forgetting the elite Luca Schwarzbauer who could be the surprise of 2023.

Ghost Factory Racing

The Ghost Factory Racing team saw a bit of a shuffle with the engagement of the Isla Short. She will certainly be among the most prominent teams in the women's field.

Giant Factory Off-Road Team – XC

The Giant Factory team sees only one confirmed rider, namely Antoine Philipp, who this year will be joined by excellent athletes such as Alexandre Balmer, Jens Schuermans and Carter Woods.

2023 looks like a great year for the Ineos Grenadiers: it has 2 of the strongest athletes in the world, namely Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand Prevot. The Ineos team also added Ben Tulett and Ben Turner, excellent cyclocross riders.

The staff of the CST PostNL Bafang MTB Racing Team, directed by Bart Brentjens (this year Eurosport commentator of the XCO Cup races), takes over the management of the KMC MTB Racing Team. Along with the name change, there have been a few departures and fresh faces for the new season. The team saw off Anne Tauber and Kjell Van Den Boogert but signed Janika Loiv. The team will have Ridley bikes.

After an 11-year hiatus, Lapierre returned to racing at Worlds with the newly formed Lapierre-Mavic Unity squad. Rounding out the Lapierre-Mavic Unity team roster are Malene Degn, Annie Last, Isaure Medde, Sebastian Fini Carstensen, Thomas Litscher and Erik Haegstad.

Some changes for the Primaflor Mondraker Genuins Racing Team in 2023 as Jofre Cullell Estape loses but a 90 piece enters like Ondrej Cink, ready for redemption. Interestingly, this will be a return to Mondraker for Ondrej as the Primaflor–Mondraker–Rotor team was his first XC team since his road stint in 2017.

After losing Maxime Marotte to the Rockrider team, the Santa Cruz Rockshox Pro Team roster is seeing some reshuffles for 2023. This year's team includes Martina Berta, Luca Braidot, Nadir Colledani and Sara Cortinovis. All-Italian team with great ambitions.

Philip Colombo, Kate Courtney, Andri Frischknecht, Nino Schurter

Lars Forster is no longer in Scott-SRAM, now with Thomus, but Filippo Colombo enters, who will also race on the road with the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team (UCI ProTeam). Kate Courtney, Andri Frischknecht e Nino Schurter they are reconfirmed.

The Specialized XC racing team introduces two new riders in 2023 in Victor Koretzky and Martin Vidaurre. Martin Vidaurre will face his first Elite season after proving to be an exceptional athlete among the U23s. Victor Koretzky is another rider who will mix MTB activity with the road (Bora Hansgrohe).

No changes to the roster for Team 31, but together with Ibis have chosen Continental as the title sponsor. It appears that many teams are switching tire partners with Continental and Pirelli securing more teams than in previous years.

BMC has launched a revamped team for 2023. The new factory team includes Steffi Häberlin, Jordan Sarrou, Titouan Carod, Juri Zanotti and Janis Baumann among its ranks. The updated team brings new sponsors for next season with Öhlins suspension and Pirelli tyres. Interestingly, Julian Absalon now has no connection with the team having previously been involved with the Absalon Absolute and later called the BMC MTB Racing team.

Thömus Maxon

The Thömus Maxon team remains mostly the same for 2023, although adding another experienced Swiss rider in Lars Forster. Alessandra Keller and Mathias Fluckiger are 2 athletes capable of excelling at an absolute level in the Cup.

Trek Factory Racing

Trek Factory Racing has signed Gwendalyn Gibson for 2023 after five years with the Norco team. Gwendalyn had a breakout season in XCC Short Track last year with a bronze medal at the World Championships, a win at Snowshoe, and a runner-up finish at Mont Sainte Anne. The team has also switched from Bontrager to Pirelli tires for next season.
