This is a budget that may seem like a lot for a novice biker while, for an experienced biker, it's a ridiculous figure. Quality bikes get paid and this € 1000 budget forces us to consider aluminum frames (not carbon) and front bikes (not full-suspension, i.e. bi-cushioned).
Of course I am talking about new products: on the second-hand market it may be that you will find something more performing with this budget.
GEARBOX AND BRAKES
The giants in this sector are 2, namely SHIMANO and SRAM. The advice is to rely on brands of this type to be sure of having an excellent after-sales service: after all, bad to say, but sooner or later some pieces will break!
We only considered models with single chainring (and some also with 12-speed rear derailleur): ease of use at the highest levels. Not very easy but we found some bikes that met these requirements.
THE WEIGHT AND THE PRICE
Weight is an aspect that not many look at in this type of bike: the important thing is to have a bike with decent quality components. Then the "slimming bike" aspect will be taken into consideration in the future when you are definitely passionate about Mountain Bike.
In the advice below we also find some well-known brands but, on this price figure, they are less competitive than less famous brands. But there is a though: then in terms of resale, there is a risk of taking back the invested budget with interest.
