Autumn, foliage and mountain biking ... everything else is boring

Autumn has arrived, with its baggage of always exciting colors. There are trails that I like to attend only in this period, a sort of homecoming.

Autumn is back again this year, with its wealth of flavors, colors and scents.

A season that has a fundamental contradiction in it. It is the most decadent moment of the year when we witness the death of nature and the end of a cycle. But everything is celebrated with an explosion of colors that ignite the woods, warming the soul of us bikers; transmitting that summer warmth that is now a distant memory.

But this season is not just foliage and photos of woods painted by a particularly inspired artist. It is also the time to rediscover the trails and trips behind the house; often abandoned in the feast of mountains and summer bike parks.

Coming back to the trails behind the house is a bit like seeing an old friend again after months away

Let's go back to the old carriageways, to the paths that are familiar to us, those worn by years of hiking, where we speak to the roots and we realize if a stone is no longer in its usual place.

Each season has its own trails

There are rituals that are handed down from year to year and there are different single tracks for each season. Some have the right mood for this period; more isolated places, where the silence and stillness that surrounds nature is perceived greater, waiting for winter and for the snow that will cover the ground until it explodes from spring.

So good pedal all, and if you too have your autumn trail, send us a photo, or tell us briefly; so we can participate in a virtual way of your experiences.
