Dual Slalom was born in the World Cup in 1998: head-to-head between 2 athletes with qualifying heats. In 2000 and 2001 the world champion jersey was also awarded. Four-cross (2002x) has been introduced since 4, replacing Dual Slalom. The only difference between dual slalom and 4x is that the batteries go from 2 to 4 athletes, this to ensure greater spectacle.
