Le Enduro World Series were born in 2013 from an idea by Chris Ball, in the wake of superenduro, with all the best international riders, some coming from XC, some coming from Downhill. For everyone it was the Enduro World Cup even if it was never under the aegis of the International Cycling Union (UCI). Since 2023 the entire circuit has passed under the UCI, acquiring the name of the Enduro World Cup.
