The Enduro World Series championship changes hands from "private management" to the body of the UCI (International Cycling Union). Many winners in the men's field, while in the women's field Isabeau Courdurier won 4 out of 7 races, dominating the circuit. Gloria Scarsi, in her first serious year in Enduro, takes home 2 second places in the stage which bodes well for the future.

Among the men, Richie Rude proved to be the most consistent and won the overall with just one stage victory. Jesse Melamed tried until the end to take the title away from him but without success.
