This time it is difficult to find the right words, the adjectives, to describe the weekend just spent in Finale Ligure. One thing is certain, this 2011 Grand Final, won by the Frenchman Remy Absalon on Commencal, consecrates the entire Superenduro season powered by Sram and crowns Andrea Bruno winner and dominator of the circuit.

Today will change the history of MTB Enduro forever. It felt like a DH world championship, or rather a Cross Country world championship... Actually, neither, since so many world champions in a single race can perhaps only be seen in a Superenduro competition. Riccardo Negro, the local organizer, was able to provide participants with a very high-level course that received unanimous approval from competitors from all over the world. From New Zealand to Canada, from the United States to Australia, passing through France, England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Albania, Slovenia, Poland and even an athlete from Pakistan. For a weekend, Finale Ligure was once again, as it did in October 1999, the year of the first 24H of Finale, at the center of the world of Mountain Bike. Also important was the participation of the international media with journalists and photographers sent to Finale to report the race live. A crazy success, also in terms of the number of participants, 450, an absolute record for the circuit. There were also many women in the race, including the current DH world champion Tracy Moseley, winner of her category and 70th overall, and the Slovenian cross-country skier with two world titles Tanja Zakelj, who finished second ahead of the Italian Paulin Louise.
Of the same opinion is Marco Aurelio Fontana, a biker who is certainly not afraid of pedaling, who, analyzing the race from his great experience, said that to win you need to find a compromise between technique and physical performance, demonstrating that the Superenduro format is decidedly up to the PRO level and is able to express a high competitive level.
