1 September 2019 – Mont Saint Anne is a historic route: very fast in the first part but then steep and technical. 2,9 km long and 586 m of altitude difference. Among the Elite Women, without Atherton, there was a good fight between: Myriam Nicole (FRA), Tracey Hannah (AUS), Marine Cabirou (FRA), Emilie Siegenthaler (SUI) and Tahnée Seagrave (GBR).
Nicole, after her run, took the lead with an 18,8 second lead and held it until the end, with Seagrave taking second place, very close to the gold medal, and Cabirou getting the bronze. Tracey Hannah couldn't match the other three and finished fourth. The Italian Eleonora Farina is sixth.
In the Elite Men category Loic Bruni is looking for his fourth world title. It seems that in the dry date he is unbeatable. Pierron pushed and managed to cross the finish line with an excellent time which at the time preceded Minnaar's time by 0,5 seconds. Brosnan did the run of his life: 2 seconds faster than everyone and finally the coveted rainbow jersey as an Elite, not yet on the board despite his successes as a Junior.
But Bruni ruined Brosnan's dream and won with a +0,58 advantage over the Australian. Third place for the Frenchman Pierron.
