A world cup full of surprises, especially in the 1st stage, but which then saw the forces on the field stabilize and the victory of Aaron Gwin ahead of Troy Brosnan and Greg Minnaar. Among the women, Myriam Nicole won ahead of Tahnee Seagrave and Tracey Hannah.
