The 2008 Mountain Bike World Cup, organized by the International Cycling Union (UCI) and supported by Nissan, is contested over four disciplines: cross country (9 stages), downhill and four-cross (7 stages) and, in a separate circuit, marathon (3 stages).
In the men's field, victory went to the South African Greg Minnaar ahead of the world champion Sam Hill and Gee Atherton. In the women's field, Rachel Atherton surpasses Sabrina Jonnier and Tracy Moseley.
