Thomas Frischknecht (born 17 February 1970 in Feldbach) was a Swiss professional biker (also competitive in cyclocross), one of the pioneers of mountain biking, having participated in the 1st Mountain Bike World Championships way back in 1990 (2nd place behind Ned Overend). He has been a professional since 1990 and was one of the longest-serving bikers in history, managing to reach the world podium 14 years after 3rd place in Durango '90 (3rd in 2004), without forgetting the victory in the 2005 Marathon world championship.
