Sara Ballantyne (October 14, 1960) is an American ex-biker. She is one of the first women to try her hand at this sport full-time, often competing in European competitions in the 90s. She became part of the "Mountain Bike Hall of Fame", she currently works as a sports masseuse. She was mountain bike world champion in 1987 and 1989 but at the time the mountain bike world championship had not yet been made official by the UCI (1st actual world championship since 1990 in Durango). She now works as an athletic trainer.
