Margarita Fullana Riera known as Marga Fullana (Spain, 9 May 1972), specialist in cross country. She was world champion in 1999, 2000 and 2008. One of the most successful athletes in mountain biking but her career was overshadowed by having been found positive in an anti-doping test carried out on 30 August 2010 (after the last test of the world cup). After about a month she found the courage to admit that she had taken EPO, commenting on it as a very stupid choice that occurred in a bad year for her and for her career: “I was very stupid but I have the courage to admit it. After many years of my career I made a serious mistake. I am very sorry for my supporters, but I am also very sorry for my choice. I will accept whatever the punishment is without problem."
