Maja Włoszczowska (9 November 1983 in Warsaw), multiple national champion. Among the U23s she was the Marathon world champion in 2003. The following year she placed 2nd at the world championships as she did in 2005, with 2 second places at the U23 world and European championships. Among the Elite she immediately settles in, coming 4th in the 1st year in the category. In the following years she collected other great results, such as the World Cup stage in Schladming (2008) and the European XC championship (2009). In 2008 she participated in the Beijing Olympics and won the silver medal. In 2010 she became XC World Champion and for this result she was awarded the medal of merit in Poland. In the same year she also won the national title on the Road (in addition to the XC one). In 2011 she was 2nd at the Champery World Championships and 3rd at the European Championships. After a 2012 below expectations she returned in 2013 with Team Giant and collected important results such as the podium at the World Championships. Retired in 2022.
