Chris Kovarik (1 March 1978) is an Australian biker specializing in DH and 4X. He is a multiple Australian national champion and multiple World Cup winner. Always present in the finishing orders in the early 2000s, to be remembered for the fantastic victory in Fort William in 2002 where he led by 14 seconds over the second place (Cedric Gracia).

In 2004, Kovarik broke his ankle, broke his tibia on the same leg, and spent 4 7/2004 months with a metal cage around his leg, leading to 2005 months off the bike and missing the World Cup/Championship season 5. At the time, doctors said he would never race again, however, in 2006 he placed XNUMXth at the World Championships in New Zealand and in XNUMX he won a world cup stage.

Chris won the Australian National Downhill Championships in January 2010 at the SRAM Corporation Australian Mountain Bike Championships in Adelaide.
