Sam Willoughby (born 15 August 1991, Bedford Park) well-known Australian rider, has collected many results at world level, won the silver medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, BMX specialty. In addition to being a champion with his bicycle, he supports an association (Happiness Cycle) that teaches "road education" to children.

Willoughby became engaged to American BMX cyclist Alise Post in 2015. In men's BMX at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Willoughby dominated every heat he took part in but then only managed a 6th place finish in the final.

On September 10, 2016, Willoughby was declared a quadriplegic after a training accident at the Chula Vista BMX track. In January 2019, Willoughby and Post married. Willoughby stood on his own two feet (with braces) to dance with his new wife. As of 2021, Sam and Alise Willoughby live in Chula Vista, California; and Sam is his wife's coach.
