Michal Prokop (born 1 April 1981) is a Czech former mountain biker and BMX rider, specializing in four-cross. Prokop started racing BMX from the age of 5, switching to mountain biking in 1997. He was four-cross world champion in 2003 and 2006, as well as having won the world cup twice, in 2004 and 2006.
In 2005 at the world championships in Livigno he suffered a serious injury while leading in the semi-final of the four-cross, fracturing the tibia and fibula of one leg. In the following winter, to gradually return to the saddle, he approached the track, entering the Czech national selection and participating in the team pursuit at the world championships. In the years following the injury he also returned to the highest levels in BMX, taking part in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and then taking part in some enduro races.
