Kye Whyte (born 21 September 1999) is a British BMX rider. He won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Whyte started riding BMX at the age of three at Brixton BMX Club in Brockwell Park, south London. He later attended Peckham BMX Club as a youth, along with his brothers Daniel and Tre Whyte. The club was co-founded by the brothers' father, Nigel.
Kye suffered an accident shortly after first joining the British Cycling talent group, spending five days in an induced coma and being unable to race for a year. He won a silver medal at the European Championships behind teammate Kyle Evans in Glasgow in 2018. This was his first World Cup victory.
UCI BMX Supercross came to Manchester in April 2019. On 20 June 2021, he was named to the British team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he won a silver medal in a close race with Dutchman Niek Kimmann. Outside of BMX racing, he was announced to take part in the fourteenth series of Dancing on Ice.
Outside of BMX racing, he has been called up to take part in the fourteenth series of Dancing on Ice, a series which features celebrities and their professional partners skating in front of judges.
