Christophe Dupouey (8 August 1968, Tarbes – 4 February 2009, Tarbes) was a French biker. In 1996 he won the final classification of the World Cup while 2 years later (1998, in Mont Sainte-Anne), he won the title of world XC champion, without forgetting that at the first Olympic mountain bike edition (Atlanta 1996) he placed in 4th place. At the end of his cycling career he entered a tunnel from which he never emerged. He was arrested in 2006 for actively participating in drug trafficking and in February 2009 he committed suicide at the age of 40.
