Kristian Hynek (May 19, 1980) is a blind biker specializing in long-distance marathons. Hynek became a professional in 2005 competing in the XCO world cup, but without significant results. It was only when he moved to mountain bike marathons in the early 2010s that he was able to establish himself on an international level. In 2012 he became European champion and third at the MTB Marathon world championships. More world and European championship medals, national championship titles and victories in various UCI Marathon Series races followed. Winner of a Cape Epic in 2014 teaming with Robert Mennen.
