Crusher is a 29" enduro model, 160mm fork travel and 150mm rear travel, equipped with a Shimano EP801 motor and integrated 720Wh battery. With 2,6” tires and 38mm forks on all 3 models in the range, Crusher is a very capable, aggressive enduro and perfect for long rides.
OUR BEST CARBON WITH OUR BEST ALUMINUM
Crusher features a frame with one of the most particular configurations of the entire Mondraker range. Combining the use of our best carbon and aluminum technologies, Crusher features a Stealth Air Carbon front triangle and a Stealth alloy rear swingarm.
Taking into account the enduro character and the possibility of doing long rides with the Crusher, at Mondraker we opted for this combination, seeking the ideal balance between the weight savings of carbon and the solidity of aluminium. All this without giving up maximum performance, in this case with the contribution of the Shimano engine.
The Crusher lines follow the design language used in Crafty Carbon, so those looking for Shimano technology don't have to compromise on aesthetics or the efficiency of the Zero Suspension System.
EP801 ENGINE: FOR SHIMANO LOVERS
Crusher has the latest generation of Shimano motors: EP801. The EP801 engine has 85Nm of power and a weight of 2,7kg. The assistance can be configured through its 3 modes of use, ECO, TRAIL and BOOST.
As with all Shimano motors, you can customize the Crusher's assistance modes via the E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist smartphone app. In the case of Crusher RR - as a top of the range model that has the Shimano XT Di2 rear derailleur - through the application it is also possible to control the free shifting configuration (FREE SHIFT) as discussed later.
EN600 DISPLAY AND 720Wh BATTERY
The entire Crusher range has the Shimano EN600 display with a color screen visible in any light condition and the ability to customize up to 4 different parameters on the screen. To be able to select the different ECO, TRAIL and BOOST modes, we have a remote button on the handlebar, which also allows you to navigate between the different display options and use the “walk” mode by pressing a single button. Additionally, the button has indicator lights to check the battery charge status and what assistance mode you are in.
All three Crusher models feature the same 720Wh battery integrated into the downtube.
The top-of-the-range Crusher RR model has one of Shimano's most important innovations, working in combination with the XT Di2 drivetrain as the 'FREE SHIFT.'
Through 'FREE SHIFT' it is possible to change the speed without pedaling. That is, you can raise or lower the sprockets by pressing the corresponding button without having to make the pedaling gesture. To do this, the engine drives the rotation of the chainring independently of the connecting rods, to position the chain at the desired speed.
