For the 2023 season, the girls of Team Honda DownhillHER Scott have used and tested the DH-R confirming the reliability and precision with surprising results. The guys from the Abetone Racing Team and the Verbier Racing Team also contributed to perfecting the DH-Rs, always giving us positive post-race feedback.
At Eicma, Team Honda was officially presented DownhillHER Scott, who DRC also supports for the 2024 season.
THE CIRCLES
For the front there was no doubt, the choice fell on the well-established Bigfoot with 30mm channel, for the rear we chose the resistance and reliability of the BigHIT with its 27mm internal channel.
The DRC DH-R line includes different setups (29” – 27” – Mullet) or the possibility of purchasing a single wheel only.
SPOKES AND NIPPLES
We have never neglected the elements that connect the hub to the rim. In the Downhill, where compressions and speeds are high, the quality of these components must be maximum. We chose Sapim Force spokes, the best spokes on the market for intensive use; with their reinforcement in the folded part and tapered to 1.8mm, they offer maximum performance in terms of reliability. We couldn't help but choose the Polyax Ergal nipples with Secure Lock, to offer maximum wheel centering stability.
DRC SIGNED HUBS
Standard front Boost 20×110, without a doubt one of the best products on the market, thanks to the extreme durability of the bearings and the solidity of the hub body.
Rear hub with 6 ratchets and very quick coupling, with the possibility of switching from 12×157 mm to 12×150 mm by replacing the pin and the two End Caps.
ASSEMBLED BY HAND
Like all DRC wheels, assembly is carried out exclusively by hand.
In addition to the centering which respects strict precision standards, the settling procedure is also carried out; the wheel is subjected to strong lateral stress which prevents skidding and determines excellent stability during use.
