Bosch honored at the #UNG23 Awards for its commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Bosch protagonist a Citytech UNextGen, the event dedicated to the themes of mobility, gender and urban planning for increasingly liveable, safe and sustainable cities, driven by innovation. On 21 and 22 November, the 24ORE Business School in Milan hosted institutions, experts and companies to identify and present innovative proposals capable of contributing to improving the quality of life of citizens and their relationship with cities or between people.

To open the proceedings, Tuesday 21 November, Gianluca Comazzi – Councilor for Territory and Green Systems, Lombardy Region, Giancarlo Tancredi – Councilor for Urban Regeneration Municipality of Milan, Marco Roccabianca – Partner & CEO, clickutilities, Giovanni Massimo Bottini – Partner, Chairman, CEO of Systematica Srl and President of the Management Board of the Transform Transport ETS Foundation, Niccolo Bossi – General Director, 24ORE Business School. At the end of the institutional greetings, the ceremony took place #UNG2023 Awards. The new edition of Citytech, in fact, explored the new concepts of mobility, but also the theme of diversity and inclusion. In this context, Citytech UNextGen wanted to reward the company which, thanks to its commitment and the projects carried out, has distinguished itself in the Diversity & Inclusion sector, conveying a real social message.

The recognition #UNG23 Awards was awarded to Bosch, thanks to Training for the Future, the project created by Bosch Italia, in collaboration with Randstad Italia, to encourage the transition of young people from school to the world of work. The initiative, launched in 2014, promotes the training and orientation of young people on transversal skills, making use of the testimony of sports champions. During the meetings organized within schools and universities throughout Italy, students also have the opportunity to delve deeper into the themes of diversity and inclusion thanks to "The soul of diversity", a moment dedicated to one of the six stories of as many Italian Paralympic champions.

To collect the prize, Roberto Zecchino, Deputy General Manager & Vice President Human Resources Bosch South Europe, accompanied on stage by Alessandro Cannata, Paralympic athlete specialized in track speed races and winner of the Italian indoor 200 and 400 meter titles in the T11 blind category, as well as Bosch Rexroth collaborator and Ambassador of the project Training for the Future.

Training for the Future was elected best project in the Diversity & Inclusion field by the jury composed of Adriana Anceschi – Group Content Manager 24ORE Business School, Ada Rosa Balzan – Founder and President of ARB SBPA, Diana DeMarchi – President of the Equal Opportunities and Civil Rights Commission of the Municipality of Milan, e Maximiliano Ulivieri – Diversity Manager of the Municipality of Bologna, as well as the artist who created the award characterized by the phrase “Do not be afraid to fail” a fundamental principle that promotes courage and resilience, two essential qualities in any professional environment, especially in times of challenges and changes.

On Tuesday 22 November, Bosch was also the protagonist of the panel "Walkability and 15 minute cities", dedicated to the new mobility "eco-systems" which aim to strengthen public transport services, shared mobility and active mobility, reducing the impact of private vehicle traffic on health and road safety. Federica Cudini, Country Marketing Communication Manager of Bosch eBike Systems Italy, spoke about the present and future of eBike mobility, between electrification and digitalisation, for an increasingly safer riding experience thanks also to connectivity.
