Appenninica MTB Stage Race is a competition that offers both beautiful routes to ride and spectacular passages on the ridges. They are mountains that offer all the ingredients to host the most important MTB event in Italy of its kind.

What the riders will face will be a very tough test but one that will leave indelible memories and the satisfaction of having accomplished something extraordinary, in a territory still unexplored by the international MTB world.
There will be participants from all over the world for the 2022 edition between 4 and 10 September. The number of participants is limited to 150.

The numbers of the race certainly do not disfigure compared to those of the famous international races that have started the movement of mountain bike stage races such as the Transalp (Eastern Alps), the TransRockies (Canada) and the Cape Epic (South Africa). The km to be tackled will be over 450 and the difference in height will see riders climb about 15.000 meters.
The race takes place over seven stages. There will be a first inaugural stage (not really a prologue but still a time trial) and a stage of over 90 km even if quite smooth. In between, some tough stages in which it will be necessary to grit your teeth but in which the fun will not be lacking.
The countries hosting the Appenninica race village will offer participants a warm welcome and - without a doubt - the best Italian cuisine in the panorama of mountain bike stage races.
